From Kob Inn you can walk the five km to Mazeppa Bay Hotel the nearest Wildcoast resort. If you decide to travel to Mazeppa Bay by car it will take you at least three hours. You will need to return to the N2 and then drive back to the coast with a very bad gravel road. The best vehicle to use in this area would be one of Temba Car Hire 4x4 vehicles or minibus.

From Kobs Inn you can drive North to Coffee Bay. You will need to go back to the N1 and you might concider spending a night in Mthata the capital of the former Transkei. Here you can visit the Nelson Mandela Museum and you can overnight in the Umtata Savoy Hotel hotel. Allow 3 hours from Kobs Inn to Mthatha and 2 hours from Umtata to Coffee Bay. In Coffee Bay the Ocean View Hotel will be the best place to stay. Just 6 km from Coffee Bay is Hole-In-The-Wall where you can stay in Hole-in-the-Wall Hotel where you will have a choice between self-catering accommodation and hotel rooms. If you plan a Wildcoast Hiking trip you can walk within two days from here to Kob Inn.

From Coffee Bay you can drive to Port St Johns via places such as Umtata Mouth and Tshane Beach. From Kob Inn you will most likely drive via Mthatha with the tar road to Port St Johns. In Port st Johns you can stay in either Umngazi River Lodge or N'taba River Lodge if you needs something similar to Kob Inn. The Glashouse is a guesthouse in Port St Johns while Cremorne offers self-catering accommodation in Port St Johns.

If you return from the Wildcoast to Gauteng you would most likely wants to stay in Bloemfontein in the Freestate. Sangiro Inn and Bains Game Lodge is our prefered overnight stops in Bloemfonetin Between Gauteng and the Wildcoast. If you are on your way from Kobs Inn to Gaborone in Botswana you would most likely overnight at Hakuna Mutata in Koffiefontein.

Gaborone in Botswana is two days drive from Kobs Inn. Here you can overnight in the Mokolodi Game Reserve 12 km from Gaborone. Mokolodi Lodge Gaborone offers self-catering accommodation. if you prefer hotel accommodation Cresta Lodge Gaborone or The Big Five Lodge might be your answer.
